Hungry Horrors is a fun little game. It is an honest throwback to 8-bit classics that takes you straight back to Saturday mornings spent glued to a CRT television.
More importantly, it strikes the right balance between creepy folklore and pure comedy. The monster covered in blinking eyeballs ends up being more adorable than terrifying, while an 8-bit dragon swallowing a princess whole plays out more like slapstick comedy than actual nightmare fuel.
